Camera Equipment
I use Nikon cameras for photography and Canon cameras for video. Most of my lenses are made by Sigma,
which I prefer over Nikon because they are excellent quality, great feel, and much lower priced generally than
Nikon lenses. And, Sigma has customer support that is light years better than Nikon USA, which really does not
offer a very satisfying customer experience.
For most commercial shoots, I use a Nikon D500, which is the top of their DX camera series.
It has extremely high resolution at full size and takes wonderful photos.
For fun, walking around, and travel,
I use a Nikon D7100, which is still a great camera,
despite its age. It’s smaller, lighter, and
more comfortable to hold than the D500.
I have an assortment of Sigma lenses, enough for any subject.
From a 10-20mm super wide angle lens to a high
performance 120-300mm and everything in between,
I’ve got it covered.
For most portrait and event shoots,
I use a 17-50mm f2.8 lens. It’s fast and sharp!
The Sigma 10-20mm super wide angle is an industry standard for
real estate photography, and I use it for all property shoots.
The Sigma 18-250 lens is my walk-around, travel lens. It’s smaller and lighter than similar lenses by Nikon
and Tamron, and in my opinion it’s a better lens overall. I’ve taken many thousands of photos with it.
